ABOUT US
The Ongar Art Group was founded over 60 years ago, by the late War Artist Margaret Abbess in 1960, after which, it became the Ongar Art Society in 1968. It has developed into a growing, progressive art society.
We welcome anyone interested in art to come and join us. We hold monthly meetings, except in August, on the second Thursday of the month
between 8pm and 10pm at:
Tipps Cross Remembrance Hall

The Hall offers modern and comfortable
facilities and on-site parking.

The programme includes talks and demonstrations. The Topics are chosen to provide as much variety and interest as possible. Our members have a wide range of artistic experience and backgrounds, with a common interest in learning and discussing this diverse subject. You don’t have to be an artist to join.
Adebanji Alade Demo
We organise one day art workshops, sketching days and competitions. Two important events in our year are the Summer Exhibition and the Winter Art Sale. These events provide an opportunity for members to exhibit and sell their art work.
